Tywin’s father was Tytos Lannister. He was generous but weak and a fool. He loaned money to lords who never repaid him and his bannerman openly ignored his instructions.According to his daughter Genna, he agreed have her married off to Emmon Frey who was the second son of Lord Walder Frey, just for Lord Frey’s appeasement. His eldest son and others spoke out against the wedding because they thought it an uneven match. Nobody in all the realm wants to marry a Frey due to their reputation of being an ugly family. All Frey’s daughters were ugly and mishapen.

Tytos had Lord Tarbeck locked up for disloyalty. In retaliation, Lady Tarbeck took three Lannisters, including Stafford Lannister. His sister, Joanna was engaged to a young Tywin at the time. Tywin said that Lord Tarbeck should be sent back to his wife in three pieces. One piece equal to every Lannister taken. Tywin thought his father weak, which he was.Foolishly, Tytos returned Tarbeck unharmed. The Tarbecks rebelled once more, with House Reyne. We all know the song ‘The Rains Of Castamere’. Tywin took charge of crushing the rebellion which he did so completely that both castles were destroyed and the family lines extinguished.

One autumn, Tytos was caught between a lioness and her prey. The lioness tore into Tytos’ horse and was about to attack Tytos as well, when the kennelmaster of Casterly Rock came to his rescue with his dogs. The kennelmaster  lost a leg and three dogs saving Tytos’ life. Tytos gave the kennelmaster lands and a towerhouse and took his son as a squire. Out of this sprouted House Clegane.In his last years, he became fat and took a mistress, The mistress helped herself to Tytos deceased wife’s jewels and clothes. She began giving the household knights orders, sacked servants and sat in attendance when Tytos was absent. In 267AC, Tytos Lannister died of a heart attack while climbing stairs to see her.The influence. Due to Tytos’ incompotence and mismanagement, his son Tywin became hard and cold to restore House Lannister to glory.

Tyrion is wanted for two murders and is a wanted man in hiding. He is most likely to join the cause of Daenerys Targaryen. Cersei is a woman and cannot inherit. Plus she has lost all power and credibility. It seems that House Lannister is going down the same road as House Reyne if Stannis and Dany get their way.
