Fantastic Beasts Franchise: The Marauders Era: A Fancasting

As viewers of the films and readers of the books, we are only witness to whisperings and tales of what happened all those fateful years ago on the day that Harry got THAT scar. But I believe the events leading up to that day would make a wonderful movie trilogy, or even a television series.

The First Wizarding War

This war was a major event in the wizarding world with the early basis taking place as early as the 1940s. It didn’t really begin until 1970 and it ended suddenly at the beginning of the 1980s in 1981. This war marked the original reign of terror enacted by the villainous Dark Lord Voldermort.

Imagine that Voldemort’s powerful now. You don’t know who his supporters are, you don’t know who’s working for him and who isn’t; you know he can control people so that they do terrible things without being able to stop themselves. You’re scared for yourself, and your family, and your friends. Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing… The Ministry of Magic’s in disarray, they don’t know what to do, they’re trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere… panic… confusion… that’s how it used to be.

Sirius Black On The First Wizarding War

Lord Voldermort’s activities took place with help of his followers, who are known as Death Eaters. These are witches and wizards who have gone to the dark side. They serve him in all his murderous schemes including bringing death and destruction to both the Muggle and magical world alike. The Ministry Of Magic and a secret organization called The Order Of The Phoenix opposed Lord Voldermort and his followers. This secret organization was founded by Albus Dumbledore and it proved imperative to the fall of Voldermort in both his rebellions.
