While working in his lab during a storm, a bolt of lightning strikes a tray of highly volatile chemicals, drenching CCPD scientist Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) in its entirety. Now one of many metahumans in this growing world of powered people, Barry uses his newfound power of super speed to fight the threats of Central City, human and otherwise.
