McCarthy: A Biopic Fancasting

Sen. Joseph McCarthy

Sen. Joseph McCarthy

In the late 1940s and early 1950s, America was united in fear of the communist threat from the East. These fears came to define America, and out of this Red Scare, Senator Joseph McCarthy was born. He spent years trying to expose communists in the US on mere hearsay. Through his ruthless investigations, came the Hollywood Ten among other events in America’s fight against the communist threat.

This is my fancasting for a movie set between 1947 and 1955, depicting the McCarthy years and the House Un-American Activities Committee’s (HUAC) interrogations of the blacklisted Hollywood Ten.
