“Maggy the Frog”, was a fortune-teller from Lannisport in the Westerlands. The Westerlands are ruled by House Lannister where the ruling lord is normally Warden Of The West. Maggy arrived in Lannisport as a young woman. She was brought by her husband from the east. He had been trading spices in the east. Their son was the founder of House Spicer. As a girl, Cersei Lannister looked for Maggy after hearing whispers of her magical powers. Jeyne Farman, Cersei & Melara Hetherspoon journeyed to her during the tourney for King Aerys II’s visit to the Westerlands, at which Cersei became besotted with Prince Rhaegar Targaryen.

Jeyne ran away at the sight of Maggy’s yellow eyes. She refused to tell the futures of the remaining girls, but eventually agreed faced with Cersei’s threats. Typical Cersei making threats, even as a child. She consented that Cersei only ask three questions and made the prophecy of the valonqar, which haunted Cersei thereafter. Valonqar is High Valyrian for little brother. When Melara’s turn arrived, Maggy predicted that she would die young, and implied that it would be by Cersei’s hand. Cersei threw a jar of potion into Maggy’s eyes in anger and fled.

The Prophecies

In a nutshell, Maggy tells Cersei that she will be wed the king (Robert Baratheon) and be the queen until a younger far more beautiful woman will cast her down. This unlikely to be her daughter Myrcella because she is also foreshadowed to die by Maggy.

Margaery has become queen already but I think someone else will take it from her again. Other contenders are: Arianne Martell, Melisandre, Daenerys Targaryen and Sansa Stark. The second part of the prophecy is that she will outlive all of her children implying that Tommen & Myrcella will die. Tommen could be killed at the hands of the Tyrells and Myrcella at the hands of the Martells.She was almost killed by Darkstar. They will try again.The Martells and the Tyrells sided with House Targaryen in the War Of The Usurper AKA Robert’s Rebellion. Who knows? They may side with them again once more. When Dany invades, Margaery may still be queen. Perhaps she will bend the knee and abdicate the throne. She will have no chance against dragons. Not even with all the armies of House Tyrell.

The third part is that she will be killed by the valonqar. This is the one that she calls little brother. This is going to be either Tyrion or Jaime. Tyrion has more motive. She has detested him since the day he was born. She blames him for killing their mother. Joanna Lannister died in child brother. He sent Myrcella to Dorne to marry Trystane Martell when they come of age. Cersei & Tywin hate Tyrion for being born. He is the bane of their lives. He is a constant embarrassment to the Lannister legacy with his whoring and constant drinking. She’s been fucking Jaime since they were young. Even if Jaime hates her now their past history speaks volumes. I will be heartily surprised if it is Jaime who does the deed. The relationship between Jaime & Tyrion seems to be the only genuine bond between two characters. There is enough love there between the two brothers. There are no lies, deception but truthful emotions felt for each other.
